At Complete Heat Treating, we can provide aluminum oxide blasting of multiple part sizes, shapes, and volumes. Iron, steel, aluminum, and manganese parts from small machine components to large fabrications can be blasted in our dedicated booth which measure 60' in length, 20' in width, and 15' in height. All grades of blasting can be performed.
The most economical surface preparation standard is an SP-7 finish, or brush off blasting. In an SP-7 finish, all grease, oils, and loose coatings are removed. Tightly adhered coatings may remain on the surface. This type of preparation is useful in many industrial applications that do not include severely corrosive environments. On the other end of the spectrum, we provide an SP-5 finish, or white blast, surface finish. In an SP-5 finish, all coatings, shadows, and discolorations are removed from the metal surface. This is the ultimate finish in abrasive blasting and is used when maximum coating adherence is required or the bare metal surface is to remain visible. Of course, there are additional surface preparations within these two extremes to meet any application.
After blasting, metal surfaces can be coated with rust preventatives or primed and painted to customer specifications. We are ISO 9001:2008 certified and serve a vast array of customers including the heavy equipment, medical, foundry, and power generation industries.
